What a fantastic day. We went to the Birmingham museum to consolidate our Year 3 learning. We looked at the Egyptian artefacts, the Birmingham Faith exhibit and the History of Birmingham exhibit. We had two special visitors today, Daniel and Mitch. Daniel is Mitch’s owner and they are a team as Daniel has limited sight. Mitch was a big German Shepherd who was extremely gentle. Key Stage 2 had a fantastic time during sports day. Well done to Griffin House for winning the House Cup.
KS 2 had the opportunity to watch the CBSO perform at Symphony Hall. We had an amazing experience and learnt about the instruments of the orchestra and the purpose of the conductor. It was awe inspiring. Thank you Mrs Baker and Miss Bedesha for organising it all. We can’t wait until next year.

On Friday, Year 3 set up their own Langar in the studio. A Langar is a community kitchen which can be found inside a Sikh Gurdwara. Sikhs prepare and serve food for free to anyone who visits. People sit on the floor to eat their food to show that everyone is equal. The Langar is…

We have been researching all about the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses today. We used the iPads to identify their appearance and role. We found out some interesting information and look forward to continuing our research on Friday .
We are currently enjoying our Science of exploring light. We have learnt that our eyes only see objects if light reflects off an object, investigated how light reflects from mirrors and next we are experimenting with different types of materials.
