Tuesday 26th June Well done Griffins! Overall worthy winners of our 2018 Sports Day event held today. Everyone participated with huge amounts of energy despite the intense heat and we cheered until our throats were sore. Ocean class children will sleep well tonight!
Year 4 were lucky enough to have a workshop with actors from The Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton. They told us the story of Pantomime and everybody loved shouting out responses such as “It’s behind you!” or “Oh no, he didn’t!” We finished the session with a fantastic song that we then could not get out…
Today Year 4 visited the Birmingham Museum to view the Staffordshire Hoard. It was brilliant to see the precious artefacts that had been discovered in 2009. The children were stunned to see the delicate designs created using gold, silver and garnet. Everyone used their manners and enjoyed the morning. There are many other exciting exhibits…
Tuesday 5th June Lots of children took part in the Sandwell Litter Pick today. Amazingly, they collected 6 bags of rubbish in just an hour! We discussed the importance of looking after our precious environment and everyone has promised to always use the bin and never drop litter. Well done to everybody who took part…

Our assembly will be on Wednesday 27th June and everyone has been given their lines to learn today. Please help your child to memorise them as rehearsals will begin soon! Letters will be sent out shortly and we look forward to sharing our learning with you.
Today, Dylan came into school with a cacao pod from Ghana. His Dad has been there recently and actually climbed the cacao tree to pick the pod. It was amazing to handle the whole pod which is vibrantly coloured and rough in texture. Thank you for sharing this with the class.
Christian dressed as a Roman soldier modelling an outfit and helmet created by Miss Harris. He looks fantastic and has the soldier glare perfected!
After many weeks of having to keep it secret, some children from Emerald class were chosen to participate in the Queens Birthday party! It was recorded by the BBC just before Easter and was screened on Saturday 21st April on the big screens within the Royal Albert Hall. We were very proud to be selected….
