In the forest, we created some pieces of art using only natural materials. We also got some free time and enjoyed playing on the swing.
This week, we had great fun in forest roasting marshmallows and singing songs around the warm fire.
Today (28.11.18) all of Key Stage 2 went to watch the adaptation of David Walliams – Awful Auntie, at the Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham. It was a great experience enjoyed by all. Click to see the theatre.
In our French lessons, we’re learning about clothes. To help us learn some vocabulary, we played battleships. Children had to say an item of clothing and a colour (in French of course) to see if they got a hit.
Congratulations to Sapphire class on their excellent assembly performance! The class have received lots of positive comments about how well they performed. Well done all!
Well done to Lucas and Neehal for winning the tallest tower competition in during our forest session this afternoon. Later on, we played a few team games where we to collaborate in order to all stay standing – fortunately we managed it! It was a fun, but cold, afternoon. Everyone is looking forward to sitting…
In forest school, we made shelters. We tried to make shelters that would keep us warm and dry if it rained – fortunately, it didn’t!
Today, we had the opportunity to learn lots of interesting facts about the Vikings. We also looked at Viking artifacts and had a go at making our own Viking coins!

As part of our Viking topic, Year 5 have been learning all about Viking myths. So far, we’ve read some myths as a class and described one of the gods. I wonder what ideas we’ll have when we come to write our own!
