In our French lessons, we’re learning about clothes. To help us learn some vocabulary, we played battleships. Children had to say an item of clothing and a colour (in French of course) to see if they got a hit.

Well done to Lucas and Neehal for winning the tallest tower competition in during our forest session this afternoon. In forest school, we made shelters. We tried to make shelters that would keep us warm and dry if it rained – fortunately, it didn’t!
Today, we had the opportunity to learn lots of interesting facts about the Vikings. We also looked at Viking artifacts and had a go at making our own Viking coins!

As part of our Viking topic, Year 5 have been learning all about Viking myths. So far, we’ve read some myths as a class and described one of the gods. I wonder what ideas we’ll have when we come to write our own!
Today, Years 5 & 6 have had a range of engagingworkshops linked to safeguarding. We’ve learnt lots of different information about how we can keep safe.
As well as learning all about the Vikings, we’ve been studying the Scandinavia countries that the Vikings came from. We’ve researched the Northern Lights and now we’ve used chalk pastels to create our own pictures of them.
Today, Sapphire class have been learning German as part of our day of languages. We’ve found out information about Germany’s culture and had a go at learning key phrases. We made posters to display all of our learning. Here are a few examples:
