25th November 2024

Last week, we had a visit from an archaeologist and a Viking. In the morning, we learnt all about the Vikings (information we had already learnt about and some that we didn’t know): what they ate, how they spoke, what they wore, how they travelled to England and why they invaded. For the rest of the morning, we painted a Viking shields using Viking designs. In the afternoon, we did a quiz around the classroom and then we used our shields and practise some shield formations. Have a look at some of our photos from the day!
