PreSchool ran a Maths Workshop for parents in March. We took the opportunity to show parents how we teach maths to their children. We also gave them lots of easy and cheap ideas to support their child at home and answered their questions. It was very well attended and our feedback was great. We hope to run lots more workshops from September.
Comments from parents included:
“A very informative workshop. It gave me a real insight into how maths is everywhere and how it can be used to aid my daughters learning and development.”
“Again, some really practical and relatable ideas to try at home. Some excellent ideas which we can try in environments, wouldn’t usually have tried. Thank you!”
“Brilliant and engaging teachers! Such great ideas to keep them entertained and stimulated at home, where he usually gets bored. I’m excited to start making some of these!!”
“It was useful to get some different ideas for how to incorporate numbers into games. Good to see the resources. Good to know what activities are done at Preschool to be able to do the same at home”
“Useful everyday things you can do to help our children progress in their maths. Also ways to learn with our children without it feeling too structured.”
