In our Vipers lesson this morning, we heard the famous William Blake poem ‘The Tyger’. The old spelling of the word links beautifully to our learning all about Shakespeare and how our wonderful language originated.
The children enjoyed hearing the rhyming couplets and we explored the deeper themes that the poet explored such as how such a majestic creature was created.
It was a fantastic session! Why not test your child to see if they can recite the first verse to you?

I studied William Blake for my A-Levels, I will definitely ask Blake about this later 🙂
