In Marmalade, we have been learning to write instructions. When we researched toys from the past, we discovered that in the 1930s and 1940s people played a lot of board games such as cards, draughts, Monopoly and Snakes and Ladders.
So this week, we wrote a set of instructions on how to play ‘Snakes and Ladders’. We know that we must have a title and write a list of what we need. We also used numbers or time adverbials and imperative verbs in our writing. Mrs O was very pleased to see our wonderful writing as it was beautifully presented with all the key features. We all got a star for our hard work! We thoroughly enjoyed playing snakes and ladders!
