Hello Magnificent Marmalade Minions!
It is a delight to have you back! I hope you had a lovely half term week relaxing with your families. The weather was amazing and I can imagine, you all enjoyed playing in the sun!
Well, this term, we’ll continue our topic on ‘Fabulous Flight’. However, we’ll be saying goodbye to ‘Superheroes’ but diving into the wonderful world of non-fiction as we explore ‘Moon Landing’ which includes the first man on the moon and ‘Flying Machines’.
To start off, I have a creative challenge for you. Let’s take a trip to the moon but to get there we need…
A ROCKET!
Your task this week is to make a 3D rocket out of junk. Now, go on a hunt to gather a range of materials. What sort of materials would you need? Why?
Remember to be careful when handling tools and do this under the supervision of an adult.
Before you start, I would like you to listen to this story – Whatever Next by Jill Murphy How clever was
Here’s a song to motivate you as you work- Zoom Zoom Zoom, we’re going to the moon!
Think Big, Think Creative.
Enjoy!
