Dear Mulberry and Heather Class,
[embeddoc url=”https://www.perryfields-pri.sandwell.sch.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Map-of-UK-and-landmarks.docx” download=”all” viewer=”microsoft”]We hope you are all well and are working through your high school transition tasks. Remember they need to be sent to Perryfields Primary by Monday 6th July.Well done to all those who are completing online activities regularly and completing tasks set on the Home Learning blog. We have set new activities on Purple Mash.
Next week we would like you to become geographers and learn about famous U.K. landmarks. Stick the map of the UK on a large piece of paper and cut out and stick the landmarks in the correct place around the map.
- Can you identify the different landmarks? Label each one.
- Can you locate them on the map of the U.K?
- Can you identify whether they are man-made or natural landmarks?
Now, choose a landmark and research its history. Present your research creatively: create a PowerPoint, write a tourist information leaflet or design an information poster. Alternatively, you could create ‘Top Trump’ style cards for each different landmark. The choice is yours!
Stay safe, keep smiling and have fun.
The Year 6 team.
