Tuesday – SPAG. Please see attached the work on subordinating conjunctions. Have a look at the power point and then complete the worksheets to go with it.

Wednesday – We are going to begin a new unit of work on Mount Everest and Diary Entries. Today we would like you to research and collect some different facts on what it would be like to climb Mount Everest. Use the following websites to make notes on what you might see, hear, touch, smell on your journey. Think about how you might feel and what fears, worries and joys you might have.

Thursday – Complete the planning sheet using your notes for what it would be like to reach the summit. Please include as much detail as possible as this will help you to write your diary entry on Friday.
Friday – Begin writing your diary entry. You are imagining you will be climbing Mount Everest and have reached base camp. Think about what your journey has been like so far, what have you seen around you. What obstacles have you had to overcome.

Read the account of Jesus calling his first disciples (Matthew 4:18-22). (Watch clip https://www.bbc.com/bitesize/clips/zbyr87h to go over the story).
Think about what Jesus asks these people to do. What would they have to give up?
Why did these men leave everything to follow Jesus?
Can you write a postcard (as though you are a disciple) home saying how Jesus called you to follow him and how you felt.
