Our dear Poppies and Rubies, welcome back to another exciting week as we continue to explore our theme- Out of the Egg- Dragons and Dinosaurs. We will be diving into a new book this week and we are excited about sharing this new story with you! Find below, a detailed breakdown for each area of learning.
This week, is Children’s Mental Health Week and we will be completing a range of mindfulness activities. To mark this, we’ll be having ‘No Screen Wednesday‘. It means, there will be no live lessons on Wednesday and you need to complete all your Wednesday activities practically without a screen or computer! We all think you are all being brave at home; helping the grown-ups you live with, completing your school work and playing with your toys.
Here are some ideas or activities for you to try:
- Can you create a picture to show all the brave things you can do? It could be that you have stayed in bed all night or tasted something new or learnt to do something you find tricky or even picked up a spider. You could use photographs, paint, felt tips or even send us a video message.
- Go for a walk and see how many birds you can spot.
- Make a bird feeder – you could thread lopped cereal onto string.
- Share an act of kindness- phone a family member, help at home, draw a picture and send it through the post to a friend or family member.
- Play a board game
Most importantly have fun!
