Wednesday
No live lessons!
Here are a few ideas for activities you could complete instead of using screens…
Maths: Create your own shop – choose items around your house you could sell in your shop (e.g. toys) and create price tags. Create your own coins and notes using paper or cardboard. Have a play with spending money and creating change.
English: Role play a fairy tale or story – act out a fairy tale of your choice. You could create finger puppets to put on a show, or draw a story board. Be as creative as you wish to!
Science: Explore the world around you. E.g. go for a walk, explore plants or trees you might see. What do you notice? Explore soil or rocks you might find in your garden or at the park. What different flowers or plants can you find, draw them! You could collect some soil and experiment how much water can pass through (permeability).
PE: Go for a walk, or even a jog, or play outside. (Remember to wrap up warm!)
Don’t forget to tell us about what you have got up to! You can email us a short explanation of what you have done or send pictures. During your catch up meeting (Thursday 2.30 for Willow or Friday 1.30 for Emerald) you can share this with us and with your class mates.
We hope you have a great day! Miss Hollis & Mr Batham
Tuesday
On Tuesday afternoon we will be having a live lesson in addition to English and Maths. As it is Mental Health week this will be a PSHE lesson this week. If possible can you have ready a piece of paper or notebook and something to write with. I would also like to invite you to wear something to ‘express yourself’. This could be your favourite colour, a pair of funky odd socks (mine are always odd for some reason!) or you could bring your favourite teddy to say hello to everyone. I look forward to seeing you all then and hope lots of you will be willing to share your thoughts and ideas. Miss Hollis (see below for more information on the tasks set for PSHE)
