Good Morning Year 2!
In Maths today, we would like you to use 2D shapes in a creative way! Can you use circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, pentagons and hexagons to create your own picture?
This powerpoint has some examples.
Here are some sheets with instructions for drawing different pictures. If you don’t want to print, you can draw your pictures on plain paper.
There is also a fun interactive website you might like to try:
In English, we would like you to write your own persuasive advert based on the chocolate you tasted yesterday. Can you persuade us to buy your chocolate? Remember to include persuasive language, alliteration and a rhetorical question.
Friday is also Science day! This week, we are thinking about what happens to our bodies when we exercise. We would like you to do 10 minutes of exercise (jogging, jumping, running, skipping etc) and then stop and notice what happens to your heartbeat, your breathing, your face and your skin.
Complete the worksheet or write down your observations on paper. Can any of you find out or explain why these things happen?
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Please note that the online Maths lessons will be starting at 9.30am from Monday 8th February.
Love from Mrs Houghton and Mrs Taylor
