Happy Wednesday, half way through the week and that little bit closer to half term!
You’re all doing so well with your symmetry learning this week, we have seen some accurate cutting and folding to investigate lines of symmetry in regular polygons. Have you used your BLP noticing skills to spot a link between the number of sides on a regular polygon and the number of lines of symmetry?
Here is your Maths for today:
In English we have been looking at Instructional Writing with a focus on recipes. So, for today’s lesson, if you’re lucky enough to have recipe books and cook books at home you will need them for the task. If not, don’t worry because Mrs Taylor has included links to webpages that have plenty of delicious recipes as well as examples below. We would like you to create a word mat of all the imperative verbs within recipes. These are words that give you a command such as chop or whisk.

Your afternoon session today is RE and we are thinking about The Lord’s Prayer or Our Father. This is a prayer that Jesus taught his followers because it helped them learn about God. We are thinking about what the words mean and how we can understand them. Have a look at the PowerPoint presentation and then you have 2 challenges to pick from.
- Illustrate the Lord’s Prayer to show you understand what each pair of lines means.
- Re-write the Prayer so that it is easier to understand. For example, rather than writing ‘Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name’ you could write ‘Our Father who is in Heaven, your name is Holy.
It would be wonderful if some of you could attempt the trickier challenge, we know you can do it!
