Happy Friday Year 2 and Happy Chinese New Year!
Well done for completing Home Learning for a whole half term, you have done BRILLIANTLY and we are proud of each and every one of you. Your work that has been emailed to us really shows your efforts and we would like to say THANK YOU to your adults at home who have been helping you.
Friday’s Maths tasks for after your Online session with Mrs Houghton are below. You have been looking at symmetry and 2D shapes, but now your learning will move on to 3D shapes.
English today is using the skills you have learned this week to order the sequence of instructions for recipes. The chilli challenges are tricky today, so don’t be discouraged if the fiery one really makes you brain work hard. Pick the level that challenges you to really look closely at the text and the one that stretches your learning.
Your final Science lesson in the unit Animals including Humans is all about how we keep ourselves healthy by keeping ourselves clean. You have a choice of 2 tasks:
1- draw the pictures to illustrate the ways in which we keep clean. These are already written for you.
2- draw a picture in each box and underneath explain what this does to keep us clean and healthy, for example ‘I clean my teeth twice a day’ and ‘I have a shower’.
All that is left is for us to say have a very happy Half term holiday! Try and make time to do some reading and times tables learning, but make sure you have a rest and try to do things that you really enjoy!
See you soon,
Love from Mrs Taylor and Mrs Houghton
