Year 5 were treated to an afternoon surprise at the Mad Hatter’s Tea party held in our library. This linked to our Theme for World Book Day of Alice in Wonderland.
A table laid out for a wonderful party with cups and saucers, knives and forks, balloons and even some playing cards from the Queen of Hearts- it was quite a sight to behold. We could then spend some time in the library exploring our incredibly book selection or enjoying the treats left for us by the Mad Hatter and White Rabbit.
It was a wonderful way for us to visualise elements of our text as well as share our love of reading with our friends across both Denim and Sapphire Class.
Thank you to Mr Billings (or should that be Tweedle-Dee?)for all of his help to make World Book Day so enjoyable and memorable for us all!
