The Early Years staff in pre-school and reception have been cleaning and rearranging all of our outside space. We have now moved the mud kitchen to a new area where we have more space to have lots of messy fun. We have tyres full of compost for the children to “cook” with and lots of herbs and leaves and water to add to their recipes. The mud kitchen encourages fantastic imaginative play and builds language and communication skills. It also teaches children that it’s ok to get messy.
