In Maths this week we have been working hard to learn doubles and halves to 10. We have used ladybirds and pompoms, Numicon and played dice games. We have even written the number sentences 2+2 =4. At home, ask your children how many doubles they know and you will be very surprised.
We also decided to be very creative and Mrs Kayla-Barrett helped all the children make a giant rock pool to explore. The children have had such fun fishing for crabs and limpets and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
We finished off our week by watching a video about Eid celebrations and were amazing at designing Mendhi patterns.
Before we went home we had a fabulous time singing songs which we haven’t been able to do for ages and it felt so good to see all the children happy and engaged.
