Willow class have been very busy creating Stone Age themed items as part of their learning log tasks at home. They are very creative and all look amazing. Take a look at some of the things they have created!
Today Willow class have been creating mammoths! We recycled milk bottles to make our creating by using different materials to bring our mammoth to life. We had a fantastic afternoon and enjoyed ourselves. Take a look at our work!
Today we had the opportunity to learn Indian Dancing. We all had a fantastic time learning the moves and mudra hand gestures. Everyone joined in and had lots of fun.
Today Year 3 spent the morning creating some music linked to our theme Egypt. We listened (and sang!) the Walk like an Egyptian and worked out all the musical instruments in the song. Today Willow visited the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery to enhance our learning. We explored the Ancient Egyptians as this is our current theme. Also, we walked through time to discover the History of Birmingham from our previous theme Birmingham and Beyond. We had an amazing time and discovered many amazing facts!
We are currently learning all about Egypt. Yesterday we became embalmers and learnt how the Ancient Egyptians mummified their pharaohs. Did you know they pull their brains out through their nose? We then had a go at mummifying our friends! Which ‘mummy’ do you think is the best?
We were very lucky to have the opportunity to try maypole dancing on May 1st. We all had a fantastic time, skipping and dancing around the pole. Some of us enjoyed it so much we danced our feet off!
