Today we have learnt about the Chinese New Year. We have watched videos, listened to how the years are named, identified the animal for our birth year, listened to Chinese music and made Chinese lanterns. We hope you all enjoy the celebrations.
This week in Maths we have been learning to bridge 10 by making 10 first. We have found it a little tricky but most of us have mastered it now! We can explain our learning – ask me!
This week we bought in our favourite toy and we have been completing our English work based on our toys. We have been using because and adjectives in our work.

Today we were set a challenge to create a Christmas item using Numicon but we could only use 24 or 30 holes. Look at our wonderful creations.
At 10:20 this morning we heard sleigh bells and then shortly after a gentleman in a red coat walked into Amber. IT WAS SANTA!!!!!! The children asked a series of questions and then Santa gave the class some presents. 9 Different board games. We are very lucky in Amber.
We had an amazing one off outdoor learning session today with Greg. We built trust in each other and improved our communication and listening skills whilst having great fun. Amber worked in partners, sixes and teams throughout the session. Despite the chilly playground we learnt resilience and patience, A fantastic opportunity.
This morning we have had the opportunity to meet the Commonwealth athlete, David Smith. We had an assembly first thing and learnt all about him and then participated in a sponsored circuit session. It was great fun and very exhilarating.
We had an amazing time at the woods this morning. We climbed trees, sat on logs, kicked leaves, raced downhill and got very very muddy! It was an absolute blast and we didn’t want to come back to school. Take a look at some of our photographs.
We have finally been able to paint our 3D models after the clay has dried. We are very proud of our achievements.
