Today, Skip 2 B Fit came into Perryfields! We all had a great time skipping and were challenged to beat our personal best. We reflected on how we can apply this attitude to our learning in the classroom. Have a look at some of the photos below. We also got given a healthy snack…
We have demonstrated how the human digestive system works by representing each part with everyday items. An awesome experiment!
In Year 4, we are learning about Sir Edmund Hillary’s expedition to the summit of Mount Everest. Yesterday, Flynn brought in some of his dad’s climbing equipment to show us. Thank you, Flynn, for explaining what the different pieces of equipment are used for and how they work!
Wow what a fabulous afternoon, making shelters in our Forest school. Despite the weathers best efforts to dampen our spirits we still had a fun time. The collaboration of each group was phenomenal.
Look at all our Christmas characters. We had great fun creating them.
This afternoon we have made Christmas cards. We are very pleased with our efforts.
This week we are busy getting ready for our Christmas Fair on Friday evening. Look at our origami skills.
This week we have created our torches as part of our D & T project and Science theme. We had some success however we realised we needed more space for the wires as when they were place into the tube we started getting crossed circuits. We will be evaluating our projects next week.
Year 4 had a wonderful time at the Reel cinema watching the Horrible Histories film – The Rotten Romans. The children made links with their learning and enjoyed the ‘funnier’ moments. All the teachers were extremely impressed with their behaviour and would like to thank the parent volunteers who came with us.
