On Wednesday 16th November we celebrated World Tolerance Day. We have been using a variety of books to learn more about tolerance around the world. “Tolerance is respect, acceptance and appreciation of the rich diversity of our world’s cultures” – UNESCO’s 1995 Declaration of Principles on Tolerance

In class, we are investigating how to plan and design our own scientific investigations, by controlling our independent and dependent variables. We have all designed our own experiment to see how cress growth can vary, depending on factors such as the amount of light, water or even giving a plant coke instead of water!
