Year 5 enjoyed an afternoon of calm and reflective RE learning. We reminded ourselves of story of the Nativity and why it is important at this time of year.
We then created our own stained glass windows reflecting the image of Mary and Joseph around the manger in which Jesus lay. To do this, we used lollypop sticks to create the manger before using tissue paper and sticky back plastic to create the window. The challenging part was cutting out the silhouette of the scene- we definitely needed our perseverance and absorption skills here!
We think our art work looks beautiful and we were all rightfully proud of ourselves.
