This week in Year One, we are going fishing! Not for fish, but for magnetic letters to help us spell some of our tricky words.
Using our BLP skills of noticing and collaboration, we worked with our friends to find the right letters for the correct spelling. To find the letters, we used Mrs Taylor’s magnetic fishing rod- which meant we had to use our concentration skills to make sure we didn’t accidentally collect more than one letter at a time.
This challenge will support our phonics learning and help us become more confident and accurate spellers in our written learning too.
Do you think we will be able to read these words when we see them in our reading books? Why not challenge us to see how brilliantly we are developing our reading and phonics skills.
