To start our Theme of ‘Into the Woods’, we went into the forest area to create some art based on the book we will be reading- The Gruffalo.

We had to use four sticks to create a frame, before looking for resources on the forest floor to create either the fox, the owl, the mouse, the snake or the Gruffalo himself. We could also use dried pasta, oats and green lentils which we would leave for the birds after we had finished. It was great fun to spend time foraging in our forest with our friends and we really enjoyed looking at the art work each group had created.
