Today we spent designing, making, testing and evaluating our parachutes. We learnt the purpose of a parachute initially and then discussed what we already knew. Afterwards we looked and tested a range of materials before deciding on our design. After morning break we then made our designs and fixed items together with sellotape, glue or just by tying knots. After lunch, despite the weather we tested our parachutes from the Year 3 window. We were amazed that they were all successful and a few of them actually glided down across the playground. We then recovered our parachutes and evaluated our successes. We had an amazing Friday.
