During the last term, Miss Hill has been working on making an EAL room to celebrate all languages and cultures we have at Perryfields! All children can access the room with an adult to support their individual needs to develop their understanding and enhance the English language making the whole curriculum available to them.
As soon as you walk through the main doors, the room is situated by the office. The chosen Language of the Month is displayed on the door, so everybody walking past can see which language we are celebrating!
Inside, we have resources for both staff members and children, as well as basic English language books and bilingual books. We have a variety of posters on the wall, the EAL policy on the notice board and useful websites that staff members might find useful in the classroom.
