To mark this year’s Remembrance Day, Year 1 Marmalade took time to reflect and ponder on the significance of Remembrance day. We answered questions such as:
‘Why is it so special?’ and ‘Why must we remember?’
We watched a short clip titled ‘Poppies’ and another video titled ‘R is for Remembrance’.
We learnt how these brave soldiers fought selflessly to liberate all. We also learnt that this happens on the 11th day of the 11th month at 11 am because that was the day the war ended in 1918.
Finally, we enjoyed decorating some wreaths and poppies to commemorate the day.
Indeed, we must never forget!
