We’re looking forward to welcoming all children back to school at the start of September.
Pupils will be required to attend in school uniform. However, they will temporarily not be wearing ties.
Please note that pupils will not need face masks or hand sanitiser. There will be regular opportunities for pupils to wash their hands in school.
Pupils can bring in their own lunch box and water bottle. Please bring bottles filled from home daily.
Please also remember to use the staggered start times found here.

Hi, do the children need to bring in their PE kits?
Thank you for your question.
Children will still need to bring in their PE kits as usual.
Please let me know if you require any further information.
Thank you for the update. I have a few more questions.
Are you offering school dinners? If so will there be a selection of choices available?
Is the morning snack of fruit and toast available or do we need to send a snack?
Will there be any transition from their previous year group to their new classroom and teacher?
What differences can the children expect as far as classroom layout, break times, social distancing expectations etc..
Thank you for your questions.
School dinners will be offered as normal and once approved, the menu will be placed on the website. We will offer the same range of choices.
We can provide toast which will be ordered in the classroom and delivered to the children to avoid them mixing with other year groups. The fruit for Reception and KS1 has not been confirmed as yet but once it has, we will notify parents via the website.
Due to the need to keep the children in their year group bubbles, they will start with their new teacher from the first day. Please rest assured that the staff have passed all necessary information to the next teacher to ensure a smooth as transition as possible.
All year groups, excluding Reception and Year 1, will have forward facing desks. There will be split break times and lunch times so that each year group can be allocated a specific play area. Social distancing within the year group bubbles is not possible given the number of pupils in each. There will be real focus on hand washing and social distancing with other year groups. There will be a real focus on the children’s well being. Class charts will be used to include this.
Please let me know if you require any further information.
Thank you for the answers.
Do the children need to bring their book bags with them?
The children can still bring in a book bag.
The decision has temporarily been made to suspend the sale of toast because of the cash payment. Children can still bring in a healthy snack.
Will PE bags be required to leave in school or will children be requested to wear their PE kit to and from school on the days they have PE lessons. I believe this has been a popular approach in some schools to avoid children needing assistance to change in the younger years
Children will come in school uniform everyday and take their PE kits into school as normal.
Can they bring there own pencil case and bags to carry things to and from school?
Thank you for your question.
It is recommended that the children limit the amount of equipment they bring into school each day. They will be provided with the basic writing implements and therefore do not need to bring pencil cases. They can bring essentials such as lunch boxes, hats, coats, reading book.
Please let me know if you require any further information.
Also sorry can I asked the reason for not wearing ties please?
The decision regarding ties has been made as a precaution as ties are often not washed as frequently as other items of clothing.
Thank you for letting me know will they be giving books out for the children to read at home?
Children will still be able to take books home.
Will there be a one way system when walking up the school? Do the children also enter into there new class rooms as soon as we arrive as there won’t be a bell on our time slot?
Thank you for your question.
We expect parents to walk up the left hand side of the path and down the left when they leave, giving way to any other parents they meet along the way.
The children will need to enter the building through the allocated door and make their way to their classroom on arrival.
Please let me know if you require any further information.
Can children bring book bags to school?
How will the toast be paid for? Do we still send the change or now school will be cashless do we do that through parent pay?
Will they have their own desks or will children be sitting around tables the same as they used too?
Thank you.

All year groups, excluding Reception and Year 1, will have forward facing desks. Due to the number of children in the classroom, they will not be able to have individual desks. However, all children will be provided with their own equipment in their own folder (all provided by the school).
Hi, can you please confirm if Reception class need to wear their school uniform on their meet and greet day?
Also do they need spare uniform in a bag?
Thanks
It is up to parents whether to put their children in uniform for the Stay and Play sessions. Some might want to practise putting it on ready for when they start. Some might feel more comfortable in their own clothes.
We only ask for spare uniform in a bag if they are prone to toileting accidents.
Hi there – we’ve not yet heard which houses Reception children will be in in order to get the right PE Kit – is that ok? Also – will Reception children need to wear uniform on their stay and play sessions please?
If we have more than 1 child at school do they go through the same door? If not – I guess Reception go in through their door but where should Year 4 go please? Blake’s a bit worried about finding his classroom – will there be people around to help?

If parents are unsure about house teams, they can ask on the children’s Stay and Play sessions. However, we will not be getting the children changed for PE until after October half term so there is no rush.
With regards to the doors in the morning, Reception will be coming through their usual door. There will be staff at each entrance to direct children to where they need to be.
