Thanks to Storm Barra, Year 5 had an impromptu art based Forest School session this week!
Using oil pastels and thinking about creating a Christmas or winter design, we made decorations for our trees at home. We drafted our designs before using a wooden disc as the canvas and oil pastels as our medium with which to produce our final product.
As you can see, we are QUITE the artists in Denim class. It was awesome to have the chance to be creative and begin to enjoy the festive season with our classmates; as well as the teachers who work so hard to give us our BRILLIANT forest sessions each week.
We can’t wait to hang these on our trees- Mrs Taylor told us that her tree topper is the angel she made in Reception class over 30 years go, we wonder if ours will last that long!
