Hello hello our wonderful Year 2 children.
We hope you’re all well and have been finding new ways to keep yourselves busy in the sunshine-maybe even enjoying an ice cream or two!
This week we are setting you a creative challenge, are you up for it? We would like you to think about what you would put in a time capsule for your time in Year 2. We know this has been a strange and difficult time for everyone, but we also know you’ve had lots of fun and done SO many amazing things. A time capsule is usually a box or container full of items that tell whoever discovers it in the future all about what happened during a certain time.
You could include something to tell them about our Great Fire of London Theme, or our trips to Selly Manor and Cadbury World. What about when we had an Antarctic visitor in our classrooms? Is there anything you remember that you would want someone from the future to know about? You could even include something to tell them about the time when you did your learning at home.
We hope this task makes you smile and remember just how much fun we all had together and how hard you have all worked, both in school and at home.
We are so excited to see your capsules!
Love from Mrs Taylor and Mrs Houghton

Here is Marty’s list for the time capsule of activities done in Year 2. It’s been a while and it took a lot to jog his memory!
Goodness, I cannot believe how much you remembered from Year 2! It looks like you had a fantastic time producing this Time Capsule task and we are both very pleased to see your lovely presentation, but more importantly we are happy to see that you have such wonderful memories!
Well done Marty and thank you for making us smile as WE remembered these memories too.
