Welcome to our new class of brilliant Buttercups! We have missed having children in our classrooms and hearing your laughter as you learn- it is so good to be back.
What a week we have had. We have spent time making the classroom a more personal space with drawer labels, birthday cupcakes for our French display and deciding on a class agreement for our rules and responsibilities.
Our book this week has been The Worrysaurus which has helped us to talk about how we have been feeling as we enter back into the swing of School life after such a long time. It also allowed us to produce some fabulous writing about what we would have in our ‘Tin of happy things’, some of which is on display in our Year 2 corridor!
I’m incredibly happy to see you all feel safe, excited and raring to go- it is going to be a fabulous year and I cannot WAIT to see you all flourish and grow.

Imogen has had a lovely few days back and said she loves her new class. She was very excited to show me her work for the tin of happy especially because she had a special sticker on it its in pride of place on our fridge so we can all see it
That’s fantastic Imogen- I am glad you’ve enjoyed your start to Year 2, I wonder what else you will achieve this year!
