7th March 2024

What an exciting time we have had in Year One today! From Little Red Riding Hood to Dorothy from Oz- we have had characters from all kinds of books. It has been a delight to see the children dressed up and excited to see what their friends were wearing.

In the morning, we had a visit from a Magician who dazzled us with his magic tricks before coming round to see us in class and answer our questions. This inspired us in our writing which saw us describing Abdul Kazam from our book ‘Leon and the Place Between’.

Thank you for supporting your child’s reading at home by spending even 5 minutes a day hearing them read. It is so important that they read as often as they can and I can really see the progress being made with your support at home. If your child is reading books at home, please just note it in their planners so I can celebrate their achievements with them!
