Good morning Willow and Emerald,
I hope you are all well and had a good weekend. This weeks home learning we are giving you a range of tasks, including maths, writing and science, to complete over the week, which you can complete in any order.
This week’s tasks are the following:
Maths : comparing measurements.
English: watch the clip (please supervise children when watching as it is a you tube clip or use the other link below) and write a recount of the story as the explorer. Include interesting adjectives for description, your feelings and thoughts and retell the story for someone who has not watched the video. I can’t wait to see your fantastic writing. Also, practise joining you handwriting where possible and remember correct punctuation (especially capital letters!)

Here is my example. What have I included that is good? (First paragraph.) Have I made any mistakes in my writing? (Second paragraph.)

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zxrmp39
Group the animals into the correct group using the Venn Diagram. Are they a herbivore, an omnivore or a carnivore? Watch the clip above to learn what these words mean. To group them, you could write, draw a picture of each animal or print, cut out and place them in the correct section.
Then choose 1 animal from each group. Write 1 – 3 sentences about which type the animal is and what they eat (you may need to research).
E.g. A rabbit is a herbivore, which means they eat plants. For example, they mainly eat grass or hay. Some pet rabbits might eat lettuce or carrots as a treat.
You can print out the following Venn diagram, draw your own or even create one (using hoops for example).

Keep up the good work Willow and please share what you are doing with us.

Well done Blake, choose an animal from each group and research their diet. Glad you enjoyed the task. Miss Hollis
Hi – tried to post yesterday but don’t think it worked! Here’s is Blake’s science, which he really enjoyed.
Jessie enjoyed this task
Blake has worked hard on the writing task over the last few days. He watched the video and created a story map to help him remember the events, then handwrote an initial draft, which we typed up. He’s then up-leveled his work today to add in extra adjectives and adverbs. We hopes you like it!
Wow, this looks great Blake. I can see you have worked hard. If possible could you send the word document to me and I can read through it properly. Please email it to homelearning@perryfields-pri.sandwell.sch.uk, thank you. Miss Hollis.

We are having issues with the Maths download, it’s all jumbled up, so we don’t know what figures go where. Its the same for this weeks maths also. This is how it comes out.
Hi, I have converted the word documents to a pdf file, which should solve the issue.
Please let me know if you still have problems. Miss Hollis
