Good morning Year 2!
We hope you all had a lovely day celebrating books and reading yesterday. We have shared what we did in school and we will make sure we share some of the activities you have done at home too once we have received them all.
Today in Maths, Mrs Houghton would like you to choose your Division chilli challenge. Over the last two weeks, we have learned to share into groups and how to make equal groups and count them up. We have also learned how to use a number line to help us with our division. So today, you can choose how you solve the division questions – you choose the method that works best for you. Be careful with the Fiery chilli as you will have to read and understand the division word problems! Good luck!
For English today, we are looking at rhyming words. Again, you can choose your chilli challenge. The hot chilli challenge is based on Oi Frog and you might recognise the poem in the fiery chilli challenge if you watched The Masked Reader videos. It was read by the Flamingo!
Friday 5th March Fiery English
Now, after all your hard work at home for so long, we would like you to take this afternoon to do something you enjoy. Take time to read a book, draw a picture, play outside in the garden or anything else that will help you to relax.
Here are some mindfulness breathing activities you could try at home if you would like to.
Have a lovely Friday and a great weekend.
We are so looking forward to welcoming you all back into school on Monday!
See you all soon,
Love from Mrs Houghton and Mrs Taylor
