Hello Minions!
This week, I want us to get creative with some POP ART! You must have spotted POP Art when we discussed onomatopoeia a couple of weeks back. The question is: Why POP Art and how does this link with our superhero theme?
Well, POP Art is a style of art that is based on simple, bold images of everyday items. It began in America at the end of the 1950s, about 70 years ago. Some of the most famous Pop artists are the American artists Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.
POP Art is colourful and bright and it allows you express the actions of these superheroes and the sounds they make.
For example: He ran sped off as fast as lightening. ZAP!
The meteor crashed into earth. BANG!
You can express these sounds/ words (onomatopoeia) in the POP Art style.
