Today we have started our new topic in PSHE – relationships. We shared what we believe makes a healthy relationships and then we looked at a list of jobs. Using democracy we voted on whether we thought the job was a male job or a female job. We then discussed how the jobs were stereotypically gender related and how society has changed and the jobs can now be achieved by anyone regardless of gender. We then looked at some images of people who have achieved their dream jobs.
In Science we have been creating electrical circuits using wires, bulbs and batteries. We extended our learning to find out what would happen if we used more batteries and this week we have been looking at complete and incomplete circuits, making predictions and then...
As part of Black History month, we joined 4,300 other school on a live assembly with Picture News. It was fun and enjoyable and very informative. It was amazing to think how many other children were participating too.
Today we have had Louise from Sandwell Road Safety Education Team visit. She has delivered assemblies to KS1 and Year 4 & 5. Then class workshops with Year 3 and 6. The children learnt all about crossing safely, car safety and a catchy little song for a reminder....
